Midwest Reproductive Center

Highlighting ASRM 2017

Shining a spotlight on the ASRM 2017

Midwest Reproductive Center is committed to providing exceptional fertility treatment. With over 30 years of experience, Dan Gehlbach, M.D., combines clinical expertise with compassionate care. To ensure first-rate experiences for our patients, our Kansas fertility center stays up to date on the latest medical advances by attending events such as the annual American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) conference.

A brief history of ASRM

Founded in 1944 by a small group of fertility experts in Chicago, ASRM strives to facilitate the growth and development of reproductive medicine. Over the years, the physicians and members associated with ASRM have established new procedures in reproductive medicine, helped create key legislation and campaigned for public policy on reproductive issues. Members of ASRM include reproductive endocrinologists, embryologists, ObGyns, urologists, internists, mental health professionals, nurses, practice administrators, laboratory technicians and research scientists.

Taking a look at ASRM 2017

From October 28 to November 1, this year’s event will be held in San Antonio, Texas. During the ASRM conference, fertility specialists, including Dr. Gehlbach, will attend lectures, participate in roundtable discussions and review the latest scientific advances. Topics will include:

  • Fresh versus frozen embryos for women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
  • The use of hormonal contraception in obese women
  • Embryonic and uterine checkpoints for successful pregnancies
  • Innovations in medicine
  • Endometrial gene analysis
  • Difficult cases in male infertility
  • Challenges and solutions to improve access to regulated and cost-effective fertility care in Africa

As a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist, Dr. Gehlbach focuses on diagnosing and treating the causes of infertility. Our Kansas fertility center expert researches and follows the current medical trends, including the highlights from the ASRM annual conference.

By keeping up with the latest developments in the field of reproductive medicine, Dr. Gehlbach and the team at our Kansas fertility center help our patients become parents. Contact us for more information or to schedule an appointment.
