Straight to IVF after 8 Years of TTC

Midwest Reproductive Center Couple Will Celebrate First Father’s Day

Kansas City, MO – June 10, 2014 – Last Father’s Day, Brian Bookwalter took the day off from work as a graphic designer at an ad agency and spent the day fishing with his dad. He and his wife of nearly five years, Kristin, had nearly given up on having a family of their own. A year later, after enlisting the help of Dr. Dan Gehlbach, founder of Midwest Reproductive Center, the couple will celebrate the occasion with twins.

“A year ago was very difficult for us,” Brian said. “Now, we’ve set up the nursery, had the baby showers, and gone from feeling unsure that we were ever going to have a family, to ‘it’s twins.’ That’s quite a change.”

As one of the region’s only in vitro fertilization laboratories, or IVF lab, the facility was designed from the foundation level to directly contribute to pregnancy success rates established by Midwest Reproductive Center.

A United Front:Dr. Dan Gehlbach Offers Support for Family Act of 2011 and Families Facing Infertility

Kansas City, KS – August 8, 2012 – As the head of Midwest Reproductive Center (MRC), Dr. Dan Gehlbach works to diagnose and treat couples struggling to conceive. Recently, Dr. Gehlbach began crusading for the Family Act of 2011, a critical piece of legislation that would offer a tax credit for infertility treatments related to IVF, in vitro fertilization.

To show his support, Dr. Gehlbach has contacted Republican Kevin Yoder, the 3rd Congressional district representative.

Seeds of Hope: Dr. Dan Gehlbach Partners with Kansas  City Area Group to Increase Infertility Awareness

Kansas City, KS - May 1, 2012 -Conservative estimates suggest that 1 in 7 couples in the US will face infertility in their  reproductive   lifetimes. As part of National Infertility Awareness week, April 21 to 28, Dr. Dan Gehlbach is speaking at an infertility conference in Kansas City. Dr. Gehlbach, a reproductive endocrinologist at Midwest Reproductive Center (MRC), wants to support area couples by offering accurate information about infertility treatment.

“Time is of the essence when we are talking about fertility,” Dr. Gehlbach explained. “The sooner
you seek treatment, the better your chances are for success.”
