Infertility Diagnosis

If you’ve tried for more than a year to get pregnant (6 months if you are over 35) minimally invasive laparoscopic or hysteroscopy fertility surgery will help Dr. Gehlbach pinpoint a cause.

Minimally Invasive Abdominal Laparoscopy (Outpatient)

Diagnostic laparoscopy will reveal anatomic barriers to pregnancy, such as endometriosis, cysts, fibroids and adhesions. When problems come to light, diagnostic laparoscopy transitions to operative laparoscopy. Dr. Gehlbach can correct and remove abnormalities before you wake.

Minimally Invasive Intrauterine Hysteroscopy (Outpatient)

When performed alone or in conjunction with laparoscopy, vaginal hysteroscopy gives Dr. Gehlbach the opportunity to remove septums, polyps and fibroids. Along with its exploratory benefits, hysteroscopy can also open blocked fallopian tubes.

Abdominal Laparotomy (Inpatient)

For women who opt for tubal ligation reversal or suffer from large fibroids, Dr. Gehlbach will perform a laparotomy. This is major fertility surgery, requiring a larger incision and a hospital stay.
